A rarely seen specimen of Malachite from the historic copper producing region near Eilat. Semi-layered rich green color Malachite sits on and cuts veins through host rock matrix. One side of the specimen is polished. Cool old material from Israel, and very hard to find on the market these days. According to wikipedia, this area has been mined for copper since the 5th millennium B.C.!
