Item Description

Attached face-to-face, so to speak, are two beautiful and subtly different growth layers of primary Malachite crystals from the famous Shaba deposit in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The deep, forest-green color of the Malachite is perfect, and where exposed the sharp needles that comprise the radial growth have the recognizable, electric-green luster that is so aesthetic and desirable. The clusters reach about 3 cm in length in each portion; and with the long, exceptional sprays of needles terminating in a dark, velvety green. With the terminations adjoining, backed by the layers of radial growth, the look is remarkably aesthetic and unusual. This large, cabinet-sized piece is literally two fine specimens in one, and looks like they were pasted together with some kind of natural malachite cement! It is quite unique!
