Kerrouchene Malachites have a personality all their own when it comes to their growth habit. The radial, fibrous growth of the copper-rich Malachite can take numerous forms, looking like mushrooms, Hershey's Kisses, etc. In this case, the Malachite takes the form of a softly-rounded cluster that shows radial growth on one side and a highly-textured, coral-like surface on the other, creating an aesthetic and interesting shape. The radial growth demonstrates the shimmery luster of green Malachite, and the reverse surface the deep-green terminations, all the hundreds of them. This is an aesthetic, distinctive Malachite that is classic for the locality.
