Item Description
This is an eye-catching Malachite specimen from the famous Katanga Copper Crescent in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This piece is filled botryoidal Malachite groups in a semi-stalactitic formation, with a deep emerald green color, and an almost "drusy" sparkling luster on the surface. The piece sits beautifully on its own without the aid of base or clay. Some of the finest examples of Malachite are those from various localities in DR Congo, and this is a good representative piece of these lovely and well-known pieces.
