Item Description
Primary malachite is actually uncommon from Ojuela, and large specimens come out rarely. Substantial front face vug filled with acicular spheres of glistening forrest green Malachite within the typical ochre to brown colored limonitic matrix typical of Ojuela. There is a limited development of isolated spots of a secondary Calcite randomly across the Malachite. The piece shows 360 degrees with multiple smaller vugs and seams of velvety Malachite throughout. In great condition with only a few scuffs visible under magnification. An excellent example of a hard to find collection-worthy large Malachite from Ojuela. Ex. Kurt Hefendehl.
