Item Description
Sculptural and rich malachite RARITY from this obscure extinct small Cu-Ag-Au-gemstone in the Turquoise Mining District (Courtland-Gleeson Mining District) of Arizona. An impressive two-sided 'wall' and the vug in front are covered with bubbly botryoidal velvet malachite. The Mary Mine produced intermittently from 1908 to 1929 (MINDAT). Malachite specimens of this richness and quality are VERY RARE from here. Undoubtedly older material, and from the R.D. Bates Collection. A must for the Arizona locality or species collector.
