Magnetite (rare Quebec)

Item Description

Magnetite specimens or this size and quality are EXTREMELY RARE from any of the numerous localities MINDAT lists for Quebec. Sharp, lustrous, metallic-gray dodecahedrons are intergrown on this rich, showy and excellent small cabinet. The impresssive large crestal crystal is 3.2 cm across. Some bruising and periphery wear are noted, but this remains an outstanding and rare Quebec magnetite with very large crystals with excellent form. Magnetic, as you would expect.
