Item Description
A beautiful, nearly 100% complete "floater" example of the very hard to find Magnetite crystals from the lesser-known Bom Sucesso Creek locality in Brazil. This crystal shows textbook octahedral form, and is complete on all sides. The only thing keeping it from being a complete "floater" are a few tiny imperfections, but it's still a remarkably fine single crystal example of a species that it not always seen in such fine crystals. All sides of the piece feature smooth, razor-sharp, lustrous, metallic, dark steel-grey colored faces. A great piece for any fan of thumbnails, oxides or fine crystal morphology.
