An outstanding and sculptural tapered cluster of sharp, intergrown magnetite octahedrons from an unknown Minas Gerais locale. The rusty-gray crystals have high luster and this nifty 360-degree miniature looks just like a metallic Christmas tree! Complete all-around and essentially pristine. One lower corner is contacted, but there is no damage, per se. Choice and rare material in this quality from the Cynthia Payne Collection. Valued at $395 by the former dealer. A must for the species or locality collector. Magnetic, as you would expect.
