Sharp magnetite crystals are very rare from the historic, old mines in the Banat Mountains of Romania. Splendent, metallic-gray, dodecahedral crystals to 1.3 cm richly cover the quartz-rich matrix on this historic piece from the Richard Hauck Collection. The base has been sawed to enhance the display quality. Comes with an older, faded Schortmanns label. Classic material.
