Item Description

Typically the Magnetite specimens from this locality are closely grown together, and this is a great example of said material. The piece has excellent quality. The Magnetites are good size, razor sharp, lustrous, black, metallic, "Alpine-type" octahedra covering the underlying matrix. The largest crystal measures 1.8 cm across, which is significant for this locality. There are no other localities producing Magnetites of this quality today, and there are few localities in the world that have ever produced Magnetite quite like this.
