Item Description

A very nice, large, partly gem, pale green Magnesite crystal dominates this piece. Brumado is well-known, and is arguably the best locality in the world for fine Magnesite crystals. This one measures 6.3cm in maximum dimension that is transparent to translucent and is a pleasing pale sea-green dotted with sugary, tan Dolomite crystals and a few tiny, pistachio green Uvite crystals. The color of this Magnesite is quite nice and atypical of the usual colorless or white crystals from here and the size is exceptional as well! Unuusally robust, and with a very high luster, obtained by Tom in a trip to Brazil from a local collector.
