Item Description

Magnesite is extremely rare from ANY of the 16 Santa Clara County localities listed by MINDAT for species. This is lumpy, stained "cauliflower" magnesite with a massive, snow-white core from this very obscure prospect. Not good to look at, but a RARE and IMPORTANT California specimen from the Bob Trimingham Collection. From the Gene Darter Collection, according to Bob's label.
