Large well-formed, very glassy, translucent rhombs of off-white colored magnesite measuring up to 5.7 cm on edge have formed into a rarely seen three-dimensional specimen of this well-known material from Brumado. The impressive and aesthetic piece is crystallized all the way around. From the collection of Rolando Gioia (a contributor to the recent 2009 definitive book on Brazilian minerals: "Minerais e Pedras Preciosas do Brasil"). These crystals are among the world's best for the species, from this locale and this is a very fine example with multiple display views.
