Item Description

Here we go again with Amphiboles Magnesiotaramite was discredited as a species in 2012. Here's the explanation from mindat.org "The taramite-group was redefined in the 2012 amphibole nomenclature, defining magnesiotaramite as an intermediate member between taramite and ferritaramite, depending on whether Al or Fe3+ is the dominant element in the C3+ position". With that said, this piece is either Taramite and Ferritaramite, but we have no way of knowing without having it analyzed. Additionally, when it was labeled, Magnesiotaramite was a legit species. Nonetheless, this is a rarity featuring a "Taramite" species along with the rare Mica species Preiswerkite sitting on a hexagonal soft pinkish-purplish Ruby crystal. Very rare on the market, and in the world in general. A great opportunity for rarities collectors to pick up something that is almost never available on the market. Ex Paolo Matioli Collection.
