RARE rounded octahedral to sub-hedral, lustrous, submetallic gray, magnesiochromite crystals are richly embedded in the massive magnesiochromite/serpentine matrix on this very rare combination specimen from this obscure San Benito County chromium mine. The back of the piece is richly covered with waxy, green uvarovite. EXTREMELY RARE combination material from this locality. A must for the locality or species collector.
