Magnesiochromite is an uncommon member of the Spinel Group. Mineral species of ANY spieces are RARE from Twin Sisters Moutain and magnesiochromite is noted listed by MINDAT (chromite is). The miniature is nearly solid moderately lustrous to matte black magnesiochromite crystals. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 10902 and purchased from respected Washington expert Bart Cannon at Tucson in 1986. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). A SUPER RARE species from this obscure locale.
