Item Description

Here we have a big showy specimen of Luzonite, a rare copper arsenic sulfosalt species. Some of the best and most well-known examples are those from the Chinkuashih Mine in Taiwan. This locality closed in the 1970s, and the famed specimens of Luzonite are rarely seen on the market today. This small cabinet piece hosts sharp, lustrous, semi-brass colored, modified tetragonal clusters of metallic Luzonite which are associated with thin prismatic crystals of Enargite on matrix. Luzonite is highly sought after from this now defunct gold-producing quarry in Taiwan. Very rare on the market, and this one is certainly a very good example of the species for the size, and richness of the crystals.
