Item Description

Luzonite is a fairly rare copper arsenic sulfosalt, that has only been reported from two localities in Taiwan. Sharp, lustrous, semi-brass colored, modified tetragonal clusters of metallic Luzonite cover the display side of this specimen. A small amount of prismatic Enargite can be seen on the piece as well. Luzonite is especially desirable from this now defunct Gold-producing quarry in Taiwan. Very rare on the market, and certainly a very good example of the species. From the collection of Senator / Dr. Miguel Romero of Teuhuacan, Mexico (Collection #2080).
