Lunch with the Spann's

Enjoy a home-cooked meal for 4 with Jim and Gail Spann at their amazing "HOME MUSEUM" located in Rockwall, just east of Dallas, Texas. Sit amongst cases of breathtaking crystals as you eat a delicious lunch and chat with your hosts, the Spanns. The visit includes a tour of the extensive displays in their collection, numbering over 15,000 pieces and 'spanning' all sizes and species, with literally 1000 minerals to every taste. So there is plenty to look at....generally more than at most major museums. The tour will be intensive, as you see pieces that will simply blow you away acquired over the last 20 years, but also from 300 years of mineral collecting history! (Mutually agreeable date and time can be accommodated with the winner after the auction). NOTE ADDED from our end: Anybody who has ever been out there for a dinner can testify the food is as good as the minerals! Their home is an architectural delight, with over 70 cases of well-lit minerals in various rooms of art, fossils, and petrified wood mixed in as well. Donated by the Spanns in support of the Dallas Symposium.
