Item Description
Ludlamite in sharp, euhedral, gemmy crystals is more uncommon than you might think, and the old, long-defunct Blackbird Mine here produced what many people consider to be the best in terms of well-crystallized Ludlamite. This miniature has dozens upon dozens of gemmy, lustrous crystals that are a beautiful shade of green, and up to about 6 mm in size. Many of these monoclinic crystals appear as modified octahedrons, while some actually have a coffin-like habit that to me is readily recognizable as Idaho material. This specimen is attractive from both sides, with excellent aesthetics and form. valued $500
