Item Description

This very fine and rich specimen is from the premier US locality for ludlamite, the Blackbird Mine of Idaho. The thin crust is festooned with lustrous, gemmy, olive-green crystals to 8 mm across. They have superb euhedral form and are nicely accented by tiny, sparkly, micro pyrite crystals. Ludlamite from this locale is world-known as among the best crystals of the species for those characteristics. Specimens of this quality were collected in the 1950s and 60s. Ex Mine Director Tausch and Art Soregaroli Collections. Valued at $1000-1250.
