Ludlamite (ex Rich Kosnar Collection)

Item Description

A classic old specimen of this well known material. Superb specimens of Ludlamite are only found in a few worldwide localities such as Huanuni, Bolivia; Cornwall, England; and Santa Eulalia, Mexico. This specimen features a very attractive cluster of well-formed, beautiful green color, gemmy/translucent, almost "coffin"-shaped crystals of Ludlamite on Quartz matrix. In my experience, it is not common to find Ludlamite on Quartz from any worldwide locality. The sharpness and the luster is certainly good for this locality (or any locality for that matter). The piece was mined in the late 1960's, and comes from the Rich Kosnar Collection.
