Item Description
This excellent two-sided miniature specimen is from the premier US locality for ludlamite, the Blackbird Mine of Idaho. Gemmy and lustrous, stepped-growth, pleasing green crystals to 8 mm are aethetically scattered on both sides of the gossan matrix covered with sparkly micro siderites. They have superb euhedral form, are water-clear to translucent and sharp. Ludlamite from this locale is world-known as among the best crystals of the species for those characteristics. Old material from the 1950s or 60s. Valued at $250.
