Item Description
This is a very good specimen of this remarkably rare iron phosphate consisting of wonderful, sharp, translucent, lustrous, deep green, layered crystal groups of Ludlamite sitting on crystallized cubic Pyrite matrix. The reverse side of the specimen features a pair of dark greenish-blue, prismatic crystals of Vivianite, which is rarely seen in association with Ludlamite from this mine. The Ludlamite crystal group measures 1.6 cm across. There are truly about 5 localities in the world the produce fine crystallized Ludlamite specimens, and ALL of them, except for Huanuni and now defunct. PLEASE NOTE: There have been no more of these specimens found in the last 7-8 years from this locality, and it is a possibility there will never be any more, so don't miss out on a very good quality piece from a classic Bolivian locality.
