Item Description

This is a very good specimen of this remarkably rare iron phosphate consisting of wonderful, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, deep green, layered crystal group forming a "spray" sitting on crystallized cubic Pyrite matrix. The reverse side of the specimen features a pair of dark greenish-blue, prismatic crystals of Vivianite, which is rarely seen in association with Ludlamite from this mine. The Ludlamite crystal group measures 1.6 cm across. There are truly about 5 localities in the world the produce fine crystallized Ludlamite specimens, and ALL of them, except for Huanuni and now defunct. PLEASE NOTE: There have been no more of these specimens found in the last 7-8 years from this locality, and it is a possibility there will never be any more, so don't miss out on a very good quality piece from a classic Bolivian locality.
