Item Description
Lorenzenite is a rare sodium, titanium silicate found in nepheline syenites and pegmatites. The largest and finest examples of the species are from this locality in the Kola Peninsula. A large, 2.1 cm, sharp, lustrous, doubly terminated, brown crystal is aesthetically set in matrix which hosts a few smaller crystals and scattered lustrous, jet-black aegirine needles. Excellent material. Valued at $400-600.
