Item Description
Lorenzenite is a rare sodium titanium silicate named after the Danish mineralogist, Johannes Lorenzen. The species is found in pegmatites and nepheline syenites. This piece is a classic, lustrous, sharp, doubly terminated, chocolate-brown Lorenzenite, free of matrix. A fine example of what are certainly the most well-known examples of the species ever seen.
From the collection of Russel ("Russ") E. Behnke of Meriden, Connecticut.
