Item Description

The lollingites (a species related to arsenopyrite) from this remote new mine are being hailed as best of species material and this is an excellent combination example. This piece features broad blade-shaped, lustrous, foliated silvery crystal clusters to about 5.0 cm, nicely accented with a patch of off-white calcite rhombs and a couple quartz crystals. This showy combination specimen is from recent finds of mid-2012 (found in April). Unlike many such pieces found this has fine 3-dimensional aesthetics and clearly shows the bladed crystals standing up and it displays well from either side. Interestingly, no fluorescence on the calcite. Hefty metallic ore for the size at 960 grams or 2.1 pounds. valued $1000-1200
