Item Description
Geyerite is a rare Sulfur-bearing variety of Lollingite containing up to 6.73% Sulfur. Lollingite is rare from this ancient and extinct magnetite-polymetallic mine, as are specimens, in general. Mining started in 1558 and continued intermittently until 1945 (MINDAT). This is a RARE solid ore specimen of lustrous platy metallic-gray granular lollingite with a pretty subtle iridesecence. RARE old-time material from an East Coast collection and comes with century-old faded label.
