Lollingite (Leucopyrite) (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

Dozens if not hundres of small, silvery metallic crystals (partial crystals) of Lollingite (formerly Leucopyrite) can be seen filling a rich seam on all sides of host rock matrix. This is rare material, and virtually impossible to find on the market these days. A great overall specimen to add to a sulfide suite. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#4171). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
