Item Description

The lollingites (a species related to arsenopyrite) from this remote new mine are being hailed as best of species material and this is an impressive large combination example. This piece features spear-shaped, lustrous, foliated silvery crystal clusters to about 9.5 cm, very richly decorated with tiny, off-white calcite rhombs and a couple quartz crystals on the left side. A dramatic combination specimen from recent finds of mid-2012 (found in April). Unlike most such pieces found this has dramatic 3-dimensional aesthetics and clearly shows the bladed crystals standing up. The calcite has modest pink fluorescence. Hefty metallic ore at 6.2 pounds or 2.8 kilos. Valued at $2000.
