Item Description
Livingstonite is a very rare, Hg-Sb sulfosalt and this rich and showy specimen is from the obscure Type Locality in Mexico. This super-rich, three-sided pedestal consist of dense columnar masses of bright, steel-metallic livingstonite lathes. Such OLDER material is VERY SELDOM on the market. Ex Dennis Mullane Collection. Valued at least $1000. We have not seen any of this material for sale, in over 8-9 years. It is a very rare specimen, with superb large crystals for the material. We obtained this sample in the Mullane collection, and "lost " track of this piece for a few years.
