Linnaeite (very rare locality specimen)

This piece was labeled as coming from the Viktoria Mine, but mindat.org has discredited this locality for the species, so we're simply leaving it as coming from Littfeld. It's the ONLY specimen we've ever had to offer from this area! This is a rare, classic specimen from featuring, silvery-grey colored crystals of the rare cobalt sulfide, Linnaeite (named after the Swedish scientist, Carl von Linné). The piece features some well-formed crystals with defined faces, which is better than I have seen for most pieces of Linnaeite, and although the crystals are small, they can be seen with the naked eye. Additionally there are beautiful "needles" of Millerite that are intergrown with the Linnaeite, along with brassy metallic Chalcopyrite and silvery-grey Galena.
