Linarite with (Cyanotrichite?) Brochantite and Aurichalcite

Item Description

A rare association specimen of copper species from Inyo County, California. This piece originally came to us labeled as "Cyanotrichite", but the species is not reported from Inyo County, and it looks very similar to Linarites I've seen from Darwin in the past. Small aggregates of intense blue Linarite are associated with blue-green Aurichalcite and green acicular Brochantite. There is one spot on the specimen that has acicular crystals that could be Cyanotrichite, but I'm not an expert on the locality, so I'm erring on the side of caution. A cool thumbnail reference association piece for a California collector, or a micro collector.
