Item Description

The impressive, very vuggy, blocky, hefty cerussite-rich matrix hosts numerous striking vugs lined with beautiful, bright rich azure-blue linarite blades, primary malachite needles and botryoids and cerussite microcrystals. The deep 2.3 cm vug in the front is a real standout and vugs on all sides add a dramatic visual aspect to this very showy 360-degree piece from the Eike Patz and Shields Flynn Collections. Linarite specimens are relatively rare from Tsumeb. This assemblage would be typical of the First Oxidation Zone at Tsumeb and this is undoubtedly older material. Valued by the former dealer at 450 Euros or $508 US.
