Item Description
Dense jackstraw clusters of scintillating electric-blue blue linarite crystals, to about 5 mm, richly carpet the blocky sawed matrix plate. Patches of blue-green caledonite are a fine contrast and accessory. The extinct Au-Ag-Pb-Zn-Cu Reward Mine is well-known for numerous secondary lead and copper species and this is a very rich, colorful and showy large linarite and caledonite combination from the locale. See the 2010 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 41, No. 2. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. He passed away in 2020. An important rich linarite combination from the locale and really for caledonite in particular for the size and richness.
