Item Description
A really cool old time specimen from the lesser known Cerro Gordo (Fat Mountain) Mine in California featuring a rich coverage of strong/deep blue color, shimmering, prismatic, crystal "sprays" of Linarite associated with blue-green color spots of Caledonite along with green Malachite and colorless micro crystals of Anglesite plus pale yellow Cerussite and colorless/grey Leadhillite on matrix. It's not common to find so many species together on matrix from this locality, so this is a great representative specimen of this beloved lead copper sulfate from this now ghost town locality near Keller. You don't see many pieces with SO MUCH Linarite like this one. A very attractive piece for what it is, and a worthwhile pickup for anybody who likes secondary ore minerals, or California minerals.
