Item Description
Linarite is a rare, beautiful and sought after lead copper sulfate. Some of the best pieces of the species have come from the Bingham area in New Mexico. This small cabinet hosts very thin, electric royal-blue crystalline "needles" and "crusts" of Linarite with associated Antlerite from this famous district. A good reference piece of the material and beautiful up close. Valued at $500. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#2616). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
