Linarite is a well known lead copper sulfate, and the Bingham area is one of the classic localities for the species. Typically Linarite is found as small to microscopic azure blue crystals, either tabular or elongated, in clusters or as crusts. This piece features beautiful, lustrous, electric royal-blue micro crystals of Linarite with Malachite, Quartz and Fluorite on matrix forming a wonderful and colorful specimen from this well-known locality. The Linarites are small, but very attractive under magnification. Brilliant colors combined with rarity are always popular in the mineral collecting world, and Linarite is one of the best combinations of rarity and beauty out there.
