Item Description
Linarite is a well known lead copper sulfate, and the Bingham area is one of the classic localities for the species. Typically Linarite is found as small to microscopic azure blue crystals, either tabular or elongated, in clusters or as crusts. This piece features beautiful, lustrous, electric royal-blue, crystals of Linarite with stark green acicular Brochantite forming a striking and colorful specimen from this well-known locality. The largest Linarite (as best I can measure it) is 1.1 cm. Brilliant colors combined with rarity are always popular in the mineral collecting world, and Linarite is one of the best combinations of rarity and beauty out there. Valued at $1100.
