Item Description
Linarite is a rare and incredibly beautiful lead copper sulfate mineral. The species has one of the most intense blue colors of any mineral species ever seen. Some of the most well-known examples are those from the Blanchard Mine in New Mexico. Here we have a rich small cabinet specimen loaded with glowing azure blue colored micro crystals of Linarite on a matrix composed of Baryte and Quartz primarily. While the color of the Linarite is easy to see with the naked eye, the individual crystals are best seen with some magnification. A very good overall example of these wonderful specimens from one of the most famous localities in New Mexico. From the collection of Colin Manlove.
