Item Description
In the mineral kingdom, the normally intense blue of Linarite can be riveting and magnetic. Here you have a layer of lustrous, microcrystalline to amorphous, Linarites with just such a blue, coating a layer of aqua-green Caledonite. The contrast in color is very attractive, and practically jumps off the matrix. Nice Linarites are always good to find, and the sheer color and aesthetics adds significance as a California specimen, in particular. From the extensive collection of Bob Reynolds, who cherished both minerals and fossils as he collected. Bob is a prolific author and has had several curating positions in museums. This was almost certainly selfcollected by the former owner.
