Item Description

A fantastic specimen of this historic and rarely seen material from Cornwall. Fine rhombic crystals of Siderite have pseudomorphed into Limonite, but are amazingly well-preserved with wonderfully distinct sharp faces. Usually crystals tend to lose some of their edge after they become pseudomorphed by another species, but the quality of the crystals on this piece is notably fine. The main group of crystals in the center of the piece is undamaged, with the largest crystal measuring 1.2 cm. Great quality and nearly impossible to find on the market these days. From the collection of Wouter Van Tichelen. Valued at $400.
