Limonite ps. Calcite on Hematite

Superb pseudomorphs of Limonite, after Calcite, from Schwarzenberg. The grey-black Limonite has preserved the sharp edges of the Calcite scalenohedrons, and the luster and color contrast of these psuedos contrast beautifully against the matrix. There must be a dozen such pseudos on this cabinet specimen, with the largest being about 2.4 cm. Impressive and quite rare (there is nothing at all like this on Mindat, even), this was once in the Falkenhorst collection before becoming #1434 in Kay's collection.
