Item Description
Siderite is rare from the Alpine-type deposits at Tormiq and this is an impressive large combination plate from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Lustrous, rust-red rhombs, to 2.2 cm, are festooned on the plate and are strikingly accented by the solitary, 4.0 cm, glassy quartz point and numerous smaller crystals. Broken rhombs on the edges reveal that all of crystals are limonite or some other iron oxide pseudomorphs after the siderite crystals. A choice, rare and showy large combination pseudomorph from this locale. A must for the species or locality collector.
