Item Description

Specimens from this stope, with modern mining from the early 1800s to 1962, are RARE and as such, pseudos are VERY RARE. This striking floater pseudomorph of lustrous, rust-brown limonite after sharp, complexly intergrown, striated, pyrite pyritohedrons has a totally different form and look with every turn. Complete all-around, with only two modest areas of bruising. Ex Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection and obtained from a Rio Marina collection in 1965. An ultimate Elba Island classic and rarity.
