Item Description
Two impressive clusters of rusty limonite preferentially coating and/or replacing sculptural intergrown masses of "psilomelane" (hard manganese oxides) stalactites from the upper oxidized zones of the renowned Broken Hill deposit. Both ends of the pieces were contacted against vug walls. See the classic 1982 259 page "Minerals of Broken Hill" book. Classic, old-time material from an East Coast collection and comes with a century-old water-stained and faded label. Seldom on the market in this quality.
