Tourmalines are beloved by dealers and collectors for their intense colors in various shades. Madagascar has produced a large number of Tourmalines (Elbaite, Liddicoatite, Rossmanite, Foitite, Schorl, etc) over the years. Pink Tourmaline is one of the most popular colors for the Tourmaline in the world, and this is certainly one of the more interesting pieces from Madagascar that I have had to offer in the auctions. This Liddicoatite has a rich vibrant purplish-pink hue on the exterior with a jet-black core. The terminations are contacted, but the color combination is still really eye-catching.
