Superb, scintillating, gemmy, emerald-green libethenite crystals are festooned on both sides of sculptural miniature oxide-coated matrix on this outstanding old-time example from the famous Type Locality. This ancient copper deposit is known since the Bronze Age (c. 3200-600 BC)! Choice material formerly in the Sorbonne Collection. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 7947 and acquired from Lidstrom's at the Tucson Show in 1976. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
